Sample files - offline PDF distribution

Please first install the free Javelin PDF reader for your PC, Mac, iPAD, iPhone or Android device. See below for details. Test authorization codes are provided in the information below - these are multi-use codes as opposed to the normal 1x usage codes.

The download links provided below are designed for use with PCs and Mac computers - for mobile devices such as iPADs and Android tablets, please see the separate instructions below. Mac users: If Safari on your Mac displays the file as a page full of random text rather than saving it, the simplest solution is to go to the Safari browser, Windows menu, and select the Downloads window. Then drag the download link to the downloads window and the file will download

  • Four test files: a zip file with a selection of the test files shown below - please download the zip file, extract the secure PDF files (.drmz files), and then use Javelin for Windows or Javelin for Mac. Use authorization code 123456789 when prompted
  • Testfonts: a 2 page test secure PDF (a .drmz file) - please download the file (using SAVE file, not Open with..) and then use Javelin for Windows or Javelin for Mac to open. Use authorization code 123456789 when prompted.
  • Tower of London Guide: a 10 page secure PDF (a .drmz file) with video - please download the file (using SAVE file, not Open with..) and then use Javelin for Windows or Javelin for Mac to open. Use authorization code 123456789 when prompted.
  • Testfonts with dynamic watermark: a 2 page test secure PDF (a .drmz file) - please download the file (using SAVE file, not Open with..) and then use Javelin for Windows or Javelin for Mac to open. Use authorization code 123456789 when prompted.
  • Testfonts with static and dynamic watermarks - printable: a 2 page test secure PDF (a .drmz file) - please download the file (using SAVE file, not Open with..) and then use Javelin for Windows or Javelin for Mac to open. Use authorization code 123456789 when prompted.

Windows and Mac OSX: you can download the Javelin readers from here or for Mac OSX, you can find Javelin on the AppStore. Then run Javelin and use the file menu, Open option, to open and authorize the file you have downloaded.

iPADs and iPhones: For iPADs and iPhones please download the free app "Javelin reader" from the iPAD/iPhone App Store. Then start the app and for the Alice in Wonderland file you can download it via the built-in Catalog - just touch the Catalog icon to open this special folder and then touch the Cover image for the Alice book. Alternatively, download the file via your PC or Mac and use the File Sharing facility in iTunes, Javelin app, to copy it to the Sharing Folder on the iPAD/iPhone version of Javelin, where you will be able to open it and authorize it. Once authorized you can read the file and it will be saved on the Home page of the app

Once you have downloaded the Alice file it will ask you to enter an authorization code. Touch the input field and then type the code above (e.g. 123456789) into the field provided and touch OK (you must have an internet connection available at this point, e.g. via a WiFi or mobile network access). You only need do this the first time you open the secure PDF.

Android devices: For Android devices please download the free app "Javelin PDF reader" from the Google Play App Store. Then follow the same instructions as per the iPAD/iPhone app, above. Sharing via a PC or Mac does not require iTunes of course, simply connect your Android device to your computer and copy over the downloaded DRMZ file, which you can then open using Javelin on the Android device.
