Javelin v2 and JavelinPro v2 secure PDF Readers for Windows

Javelin v2 and JavelinPro v2 PDF Readers are free MS Windows programs that provide facilities for viewing standard PDF files, and for viewing encrypted (secure) versions of PDF files in formats (.drmz, .drmx) created for use with the Drumlin Digital Rights Management (DRM) service. They are the predecessor versions to the current Javelin3 PDF readers and should normally only be used for older versions of MS Windows (Windows 7 and earlier). They can, however, be used with most recent versions of Windows (e.g. Windows 10). Unlike Javelin3 PDF readers, Javelin v2 readers are totally stand-alone, i.e. have no system dependencies and the executables (javelin.exe and javelinpro.exe) can be run without requiring formal installation, although they are provided as an installation kit as standard.

Most end users with recent versions of MS Windows should chose the standard Javelin3 reader, unless the Javelin3Pro version is required by the document publisher or corporate IT Department. Javelin3Pro users must register their software, and may be provided with a license file for secure file authorization rather than an authorization code.
